Exciting news! On October 1, 2017, the Occupational and Professional Licensing Administration (OPLA) will launch a brand new licensing system, which will fully digitize and automate the licensing process for all applications and processes.
Due to this system upgrade, current application and licensing services will be unavailable between September 16, 2017 and September 30, 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding while we work behind the scenes to deliver an enhanced customer service experience.
All paper applications received after Friday, September 15, 2017 WILL NOT be processed and will be returned to the address on the application.
After October 1, 2017, all licensing services and requests must be submitted online at www.dcopla.org/design. Paper service requests will no longer be accepted. Beginning on Monday, October 2, 2017, you may call a customer service representative at 866-270-9817 with application questions or for further submission instructions.
