The mission of the IAB Certification program is to ensure that digital advertising professionals are prepared to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving interactive media marketplace. The Interactive Advertising Bureau has created these certifications as part of its on-going role in creating standards for the digital world.
Digital Media Sales Certification
The DMSC examination is intended for digital media sales professionals.
Digital Ad Operations Certification
The DAOC examination is the newest credential aimed at digital ad operations professionals.
Before scheduling an exam, you must receive an authorization-to-test email from the IAB. For more information, visit the IAB Certification Website. You may also contact Lauren Freeman at email@example.com or (212) 609-3732.
Scheduling for a computer-based exam
Your authorization-to-test email will tell you the first and last dates you may take the exam. It is up to you to make an appointment to take the exam in that timeframe. Exam appointments may be made up to one business day in advance. Locations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To locate test centers near you, follow this link. Not every testing center offers both tests. Specifically, testing centers with the name “Pearson Professional Center” do not offer the Digital Ad Operations Certification Exam.”
After you schedule your exam, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email listing your exam date, your exam time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
If you choose to schedule online, you will have to create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account activation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by email when your Pearson VUE account is activated. When creating your account and scheduling your exam, you will need your IAB candidate ID number from the authorization-to-test email sent to you upon completion of the application process.
Before the exam date, you may want to visit the Pearson VUE Testing Tutorial to become familiar with the computer-based testing system.
