ISMPP Certification Testing
Coordinated through Professional Testing (PTI).
The International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) is increasing its leadership role in establishing professional standards and promoting adherence through the provision of a formal, voluntary, professional certification examination to become a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP).
The CMPP credential denotes a level of knowledge, experience, and professional responsibility required to effectively plan, develop, and implement a medical publications program. Further, the CMPP credentialing effort demonstrates ISMPP’s commitment to the medical publication planning profession, and its commitment to providing the public and the professional and lay media with reassurance that the industry is striving toward achieving best practices that ensure scientific and professional integrity in medical publication.

Scheduling for a computer based exam
Before scheduling an exam, you must submit your application to ISMPP. If and when you have been deemed eligible, you will receive an authorization to test email. At that time, you can proceed with scheduling.
Exam appointments may be made up to one business day in advance. Locations are available on a first-come first-served basis.
First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account activation may require up to 24 hours. When creating your account and scheduling your exam, you will need your ISMPP candidate ID number from the authorization to test email sent to you upon completion of the application process.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
Obtain general information about computer-based testing and answers to FAQ, as well as practice taking a general exam using the computer.
